Double Battery System
By using two batteries—one in the camera and the other in the DMW-BG2 battery grip*, the available battery life is doubled for extended shooting.
*A battery pack is not included with the DMW-BG2.
Hot Swap Ready
The battery in the DMW-BG2 can be replaced without needing to turn off the camera.
Simultaneous Power Supply
In power-consuming recording modes*, the LUMIX S1RII and the DMW-BG2 batteries supply power simultaneously, enabling more dynamic shooting without the need for external adapters or cables.
*For video and S&Q video when set as MOV/MP4 with exceeding a resolution of C4K; or ProRes video with frame rate of 31 fps or above and exceeding a resolution of C4K. For other settings, the DMW-BG2 battery and the camera body battery can be used individually, in that order.
Consistent controls for vertical and horizontal shots
The DMW-BG2 offers the same grip and operability as the camera body. Equipped with a shutter button, dial, 8-way joystick, and more, it facilitates intuitive operation just like in the horizontal position, even when shooting vertically.
