Introduction

Utilise this guide to support the capture and sharing of quality product review content across social media.

  • Sizing: Capture content in the right size for the platform you’re posting on. Generally, it’s best to capture content in portrait/square for Instagram, portrait for TikTok, square for Twitter, portrait for YouTube Shorts or landscape for YouTube standard video. Always maximise the space on offer to show off the product i.e. fit the whole product into the frame of the shot.
  • Public profiles: Ensure that your profile is public (isn’t set to private) as this will remove the ability for it to be shared on other platforms.
  • Tagging: Tag both the relevant Panasonic channel handle and utilise the relevant Panasonic category hashtag in your content (see below).

UGC Capture Guidelines

  • Location – find the best location to showcase your product in the most relevant situation, e.g., a hairdryer in a bedroom/bathroom, headphones in your ears/the case on a table/handbag.
  • Focus – it’s important that the product is the focus within your piece of content and there aren’t too many other distractions/things happening around it. This could be a clear kitchen countertop that showcases the microwave, or a vanity table that shows your skincare device. Try to ensure that the product is shown/introduced within the first 3-5 seconds of the content.
  • Branding – where possible, include branding on your products within the content. This includes branding on the product, or relevant packaging that the product came in. Please avoid including other brands or branded products in your content.
  • Good lighting – natural light is always the best option, however, if this isn’t possible, then please ensure that lighting shows the product clearly.
  • Use of content capture tools – some may want to use phone/camera gimbals to make it easier to capture higher quality shots of products.
  • Video – where possible, it’s always more beneficial for other customers to see reviews via video for authenticity. When creating a video, please keep it short and simple (no more than 30 seconds) and ensure that the sound is clear.
  • Music – please ensure any music or sound used in the video is royalty-free.

Most importantly – Have fun and enjoy using your product!

Please note with haircare, nanoe should be pronounced nano-EE
